Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer - Melbourne

We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer to help design, build and manage our new and existing Microsoft network. As a Microsoft Gold partner and a member of the Early Adoption Program, we deal with many cutting edge technologies. Working closely with our Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for a number of exciting areas.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for all our Microsoft based systems including Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2008, IIS 5 / 6 / 7, Exchange 2003 / 2007, ISA VPNs, SQL Server 2000 / 2005, DPM and Active Directory
  • Monitoring systems (MOM 2005 / Operations Manager 2007)
  • Implementation of appropriate support procedures and policies
  • Implementation of relevant processes for procurement of solutions (hosting, email, monitoring, alerting, security audits etc)
  • Team Management responsibilities

Qualifications

  • MCSE or equivalent
  • 4+ years commercial experience
  • Management of commercial hosting environment highly regarded
  • Experience with network layer a plus (Cisco, OpenBSD, IPSec, IDS)
  • Experience supporting multiple remote offices a plus (with ISA VPN and Active Directory configuration)
