??? and the City

Historically, sex related-keywords increase (dramatically) the click-through-rate of the Fridays thing/k's.

But there is a City. It's just Friday Thing/k and the city this time.

Our first city today is Toronto. And our first topic is screens.

At times it seems that the entire world has become a screen. iPod, iTouch, iPhone, Plasma TV… these screens have become the 21st century icons in their own right.
The 'screen icon' has begun to change our interaction with the physical world. The following thing/k demonstrates how a physical space can become digital.

In 2008 a group called Project Blinkenlights turned the Toronto City Hall into a giant interactive screen. Fantastic. Watch the video.

The second city is Monopoly city.

Hasbro, the company behind Monopoly, just made a new Monopoly game at MonopolyCityStreets.com. The game was launched yesterday.

It uses Google Maps as the game board. The goal is simple. Play to beat your friends and the world to become the richest property magnate in existence.

In addition, the game uses Google SketchUp to create 3D buildings. Check it out.
