The Challenge
TCU are one of the largest credit unions in Australia. And with
every member owning a piece of the credit union, as well as a vote
on how the institution is run and benefits from the proceeds, it's
not hard to see why. Moving into 2008, the Teachers Credit Union
needed a website that better expressed their brand identity, and
strong ties to the community. It needed to be more functional, more
interactive and more informative. It also needed to better reflect
the dialogue between the TCU and its members.
Our Strategy
To achieve this, we engaged closely with the Teachers Credit
Union to redesign and develop the site with user experience front
of mind. We believed that transparency with the credit union's
member base was integral to the success of the project. In line
with this, we advised on a launch campaign, and worked with TCU to
devise the strategy. A Flash micro-site was developed which
showcased the new features and benefits of the upcoming new site
and also included a competitions which encouraged members to search
and find the "explore" icon
The Results
The launch of the site generated terrific feedback from members
and the launch campaign was highly successful, with over 10,000
participants registering for a prize within the first week of
go-live.The TCU was also incredibly pleased with the stability of
the selected CMS, and the ease of use in updating content to the
new website. Phase 2 is currently underway with the development of
a complex online membership form that will ultimately take the
place of the five separate forms that currently serve to built the
TCUs database.
