The "Next" big thing in digital marketing launches
Web Development Group (WDG), Australia´s largest web marketing & services company, together with its communications divisions ResultMedia, SMSi and Advantric, has relaunched as Next Digital.
The new brand and company restructure is aimed at bringing together the power of all three companies to offer clients a complete digital marketing and IT solutions company under one roof.
"We are unquestionably the most experienced digital group in Australia", Arthur Spanos, Next Digital CEO said. "We are not a holding company or an advertising agency trying to "do digital". We are physically involved in meeting the digital marketing needs of our clients and providing them with expertise under one infrastructure and strategic process. Digital is not an add-on service. It is our business. It´s been this way since we started in 1996."
Mr. Spanos, together with Technical Director Karl Kopp, started WDG eleven years ago. Since then they have worked with many top brands including Telstra, Ford Motor Company, Australia Post, Tourism Victoria and Symbion Health.
Next Digital has 180 staff in offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Bangkok and Shanghai.
Next Digital´s services will be offered under 4 main banners; Digital Presence, Digital Communications, Digital Solutions and Digital Advertising.
"It always amuses me to read about companies claiming to be pioneers in what we´ve always done. We´ll be knocking on the doors of their clients and showing them what´s next", Spanos said.
In a series of moves to enhance the operational and marketing expertise of the company several appointments have been made in recent times. Roger Gray, former Marketing & Sales Manager of Ford Performance vehicles (FPV), has assumed the role of Group General Manager, Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company.
Anthony Goldman recently joined the company as General Manager, Marketing & Development. Anthony has worked both domestically and internationally with marketing and advertising agencies JWT, George Patterson Bates, Leo Burnett, and Wunderman. He brings valuable experience in integrated marketing campaigns.
"You can´t set up a digital offering overnight as some traditional advertising agencies are trying to do. They will fail", Spanos said. "It has taken us 11 years to get to this exciting phase of our business and we´re ready for the next 11 years. Our clients want and need to broaden their digital communications mix and we´re ready to go."
The company is currently finalising a number of acquisitions as well as continuing its expansion into more Asian markets.
